Danny Shearer has several years' experience in the music industry as a bass player and songwriter. His recent graduation from Visible Music College in Memphis, TN gives him fresh knowledge and current hands-on experience in the recording industry.
Danny Shearer has been involved with music for the majority of his life. He grew up in a musical environment, which inspired Danny to move to Memphis, TN and study music, specifically songwriting and bass guitar, at Visible Music College, from which he recently graduated with high honors. His time at school has expanded his musical abilities and given him a wide range of opportunities to be involved with music around Memphis.
Studying bass during college, Danny Shearer was able to explore and familiarize himself with playing many different genres of music, including funk, jazz, blues, gospel, progressive rock, and pop. He has also gotten exposure and opportunity to record in many professional studios. In the summer and fall of 2015, he recorded and released the Glass Mask EP, a record of his own original music, recorded at Wind Drift Studio. He recorded each instrument on the album, and was also actively involved with the album’s production.
Danny Shearer has had the opportunity to study under some of Memphis’s finest musicians, including Dr. Ashley Davis, and co-founder of the rock band Skillet, Dr. Ken Steorts, His songwriting and theory studies have further improved Shearer’s ear for music. He can pick out and play parts from recorded music and can compose lines that fit well for whatever is needed in a song.
