Trombonist & arranger based in London, UK. Has worked with a wide range of artists including Slum Village, MF DOOM, Abstract Orchestra, Joe McElderry and many more. Specialises in horn & string arranging, big band/large jazz ensemble and orchestration.
Richard is a composer/arranger/orchestrator/trombonist based in London, UK. At the age of 18 he was appointed bass trombonist of the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band, a position he held for 4 years performing at some of the UK's top venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall & The Sage, Gateshead.
A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, he has performed/recorded with artists such as Slum Village, MF DOOM, Young RJ, Joe McElderry, Ray Quinn, Lesley Garrett, Collabro, Abstract Orchestra and many more. Other commercial credits include BBC Children in Need: Got It Covered featuring Shaun Dooley, Grimethorpe Colliery Band & BBC Concert Orchestra, Undeniable (Ray Quinn), 2 Hands Up (Young RJ, Mega Ran & Abstract Orchestra) as well as numerous sessions for television, radio and library music.
More recently, Richard has been spending much of his time writing for big band/large jazz ensemble, brass & strings. He also does remote session work.
