  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: My debut EP "Burried Thoughts"

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet, as I am still relatively new to the SoundBetter community.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. More discrete.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to be as transparent as possible. Always.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Music heals, inspires, reassures, and encourages. I love being my own therapist by creating music.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Do you have your own recording equipment. Yes.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I only sing soul or traditional Gospel.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What songs inspired this project?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Clarify your goals from the start. Be as specific as possible.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: laptop, headphones, mic, pen & paper, speakers

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: 5+ years

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Very very rhythmic. A little sad, but inspiration and solutions to problems are nestled in my lyrics. Sam Smith meets Lauryn Hill meets The Weekend and Khalid.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: All

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Bite the bullet and learn Ableton Live software! Also, at least learn the basics of music theory.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  36. A: I bring accountability, thoughtfulness, soul, and lots of rhythm to a song.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start with an instrument/sound that moves me musically. I am typically by the music before I write any lyrics. Melodic chord progressions get the lyrics flowing every time! I love to layer, layer, LAYER. It's such a beautiful process. I love to layer harmonies and add unique melodies. As a conscious songwriter, the song is complete when an intentional build-up wraps up and drives home the purpose of the song (a call to action).

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: Home Studio (mic, interface, recording and production software, etc.)

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: - Deckos - Timbaland - Kanye West - Tinashe

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: - lead vocals - hormonies - hooks - pop - R&B - songwriting
