You need a great, round Mix wich sound great everywhere? Maybe an analog mix over a SSL-Console with a lot of outboard gear? You want to have a beat that won´t make you head stop bouncing? Music you can write you´re lyrics to? Maybe Im you´re Guy!
My Name is Hannes and I´m from Hamburg, Germany. I produce my music in one of the oldest, famoust music studio we got in Germany called "House Of Music & Entertainment/ HOME-Studios Hamburg".
Big Names like: Eminem, Mariah Carey, 50Cent, Depeche Mode, Falco recorded there music here and now I got a room for over 5 years now.
To record bands and mixing on analog gear I used to work in the big Studio we got here with a SSL-Console, expensive mics and great instruments. Its always nice to step outside the new, modern "In The Box Only-World" and go back to old traditional ways.
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.
Interview with Hannes Eils
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First of all I'm trying to understand the idea of my client's song. What was his/her intention? What has inspired him/her? And then bring his/her Song where it belongs and how it should sound.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My or rather our Studio "HOME-Studios Hamburg" is one of the greatest studios in germany. With a large recording room and the best equipment like SSL-Console, real vintage Hardware for example LA-2A, Neve Preamps, Massenburg Compressors and so on its the perfect place for Bandrecordings and great mixes. We also have a lot of small post production rooms where I do my stuff most of the time, editing, sound designing but also mixing Tracks.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Im inspired by a lot of Shawn Everetts (Hozier, Brittany Howard, King Princess) productions. He always manages to make the songs sound special through his work and to make them his very own mix. But Im also inspired by every beatproducer out there who´s just doing his/her own type of beats without looking to much right or left.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do a lot of Coproduction wich means that Customers show up with tracks that may not be that exciting yet and my job then is to push the song in the right direction and give it a face. I also mix a lot and finish songs where the customer is no longer able due to his or her skill.
