Session Bass Player

I am George McArdle, best known for my work as a member of, multi-award winning Little River Band. You've heard me play on iconic LRB hits like Help Is On Its Way, Happy Anniversary and Reminiscing. I'd love to collaborate with you on your songs!

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I joined the iconic Little River Band lineup in 1976, where we became one of the first Australian bands to achieve international acclaim. We sold over 30 million records and achieved multiple top ten hits.

My years in the studio and on the road with some of the greatest musicians and artists of our era taught me that incredible songs are built upon a rhythm section of finesse and intentionality. From headlining at the Greek theatre in LA to the Opera House in Sydney to the recording at the Festival Theatre with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, I have years of experience in creating the right bass part for a song that lifts the song to a better place and enhances what the artist/writer is trying to say.

I cover a wide range of styles from funk, rock and soul to country, gospel and pop. I love it when the bass glues everything together and adds a little bit of wow factor - depending on what your song needs.
