Bad Gal Singer, Versatile & Wavy
K Soul, is a multi-genre singer and songwriter hailing from East London. A young talent woman in the game, K’s voice is best described as contemporary jazz, neo-soul and blues amalgamated with the growing R&B genre. K Soul prides herself on expression, understanding and clarity - a trait she champions from her Jamaican and Ghanian background, thus bringing Afro-swing/fusion to her music.
The foundation of her sound includes artists she grew up listening to including Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Amy Winehouse and Beyonce. Albeit, you may find K’s discography in playlist amongst London’s rising R&B talent, her ethos includes a drive to not allow her sound to be boxed into one genre. By her own standards: “The vibe is where the soul goes”. Very often K will incorporate broken English (pigeon slang) into her lyrics alongside a reggae-inspired flow. Her biggest flex when talking of versatility.
As her career begins to blossom K intends to champion this unique sound until she is recognised as an idiosyncratic talent amongst the Black British talent pool. In 2020 alone, her single Kitty Khat has reached over 11K streams on Spotify organically. With production that includes Aziah, Hill High, and BlackKeyz, K Soul is due to be a household name in whichever genre/playlist she lands.
