my name is august kamp! i’m 21, based in la, and my pronouns are she/her. i have been producing abstract pop music for myself and my friends for about 4 years and i engineer, mix, and master everything i produce. my rates are reasonable and negotiable based on the circumstances of the artist i’m working with.
i work out of a botanical garden/studio where i live with my mom, it’s an absolutely perfect creative environment for people who are sick of recording in snooty recording studios or mansions in the hills. i mix and master everything i make, and i charge by the master, not by the hour.
i encourage everyone around me to create music, and i believe in affirmation at all costs with regard to the arts. i will not tell you what i think you’re doing “wrong” unless you ask for that kind of feedback. most of my friends end up creating music, and as a result, i have worked with artists including Joshua Bassett, Small, My Friend Diego, Will Williams, and many more who have yet to truly spring up and start sharing their own work.
i also work remotely for anyone outside of the LA area, and i can mix/master tracks that way too.
i believe in exaggerating and layering and sharpening the imperfections and personality in your track, not conforming to a sound that you’ve been told to conform to. i affirm and lead with love always, and i make pop songs on that sound like living robots helped out. i’ll get your vocals sharp and your beats huge and we won’t ever look back.
