Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) is one of my contemporary inspirations. I'm currently enjoying the record he made with Red Hot Chili Peppers. He imposes his musical sensibilities on a project while at the same time allowing his collaborators to shine. To me, that is the definition of a good producer.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I certainly do quite a bit of recording and producing, but I probably spend the most amount of hours editing and mixing. Today's music industry demands musical perfection, so you need to focus on the details to play with the big kids.
