Endorse KOWLInterview with KOWL
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Egg shakers, they add such a groove to any beat. Make a recording, pan a separate take to the left and one to the right, group them and add some sidechaining. Cant go wrong :)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Beach House House.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Cherokee... He just makes some damn sexy tunes and I think I could add my bouncy flavour to his productions.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: A polished aesthetic to a whole song, with a lot of focus on quality and crisp beats.

A: I bring a nice added flavour and vibe from years of tinkering with the smallest and biggest elements of a song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually work within 8 to 12 hours on a normal day but will stay up all night if I have to to get projects done. Im always at the studio and am a bit of a night owl.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is located in one of Hobarts legendary premium studios, with a reputation that spans over three decades. I have a room with plenty of fun toys, including a Moog Model 12 modular synth, KORG MS20, Roland Compuryhthm CR-5000, vintage Roland and Akai samplers, Arturia Spark and Analog Lab. I also work along side one of Hobarts best engineers who specialises in reel to reel tape recording.
