My passion is helping others through music. Before my dreams came true (when I got my first record deal and publishing deal) - I was at rock bottom of my life. Let's just say I know what it's like to eat Rice & Beans 6 days a week, and cry into the strings of an acoustic guitar (fun times!). But a few special people believed in my music, and taught me how to turn my little iPhone voice notes into Publishing & Record-Deal Level Recordings - and it turned my life around.
Now I want to do the same for you.
Amazing music can come through ANYONE. I believe in the young kid with a hit melody, but no one to sing it; I believe in the "starving artist" with a smash song, but can't afford a quality demo - because I was there. There is no "gate keeping" with musical inspiration, yet some people struggle with the resources and connections to make it happen. That's why I want to offer my talents, skills, and PASSION to you.

Interview with Greg Shilling
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I've recently just finished vocal producing and writing a song for an up & coming female artist... it's unreleased but I'm SO excited about it!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to deliver you 110% of my effort. I promise I will give you my best. I promise to pour my love, spirit, and excitement into helping you achieve your dreams.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to do this for living!! It's crazy!!!!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been songwriting ever since I was 5 years old (for over 20 years!) I've been in the music business professionally for 8 years, and in that time have received 3 Record Deals offers, and have penned 3 Publishing Deals.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love working on Pop, Soul, R&B and Singer-Songwriter records!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is creating an infectious melody. I feel this is my greatest expertise in the songwriting process.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring effort, passion, and LOVE into the song process. I believe in being a team-player, and I like to push myself - and my co-writers - to the best of their ability, giving the song the greatest chance it can.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When songwriting I start with melody. I believe a great melody is the true foundation of any amazing song. After I write the melody, I will start "plugging in" lyrics that fit that melodic arch. I'm definitely a perfectionist when it comes to my lyrics, but they are what I'm most proud of! When singing and vocal producing: I make sure to warm-up efficiently, and sing the song through MANY times, and comp THE BEST OF THE BEST vocal takes... I am also a perfectionist here as well!!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I sing demo's, write lyrics & melody, and play piano for my client's songs! I help bring "rough song ideas" into professional recordings.
