Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working to help break a local rapper named Sobhan, he’s crazy good, i know once people start hearing his music, the rest will take care of itself
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Modern, High Tech, Shinny, Crisp
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d really love to do a song with Drake
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Process your reverbs and delays with EQ, compression, and saturation (this one mostly for delays only)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on rap music with male artists and consistently have singer/rap female artists for clients.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is editing and comping vocals...turning them into a shinny, smooth and flawless take.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: It can be a variety of things such but usually it will be sound selection and design, great lyrics or great musicianship/vocals
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically I start by listening to the track a few time and writing down notes on areas I feel need adjustment as well as writing down any creative “add-on” ideas that will add to the production in a tasteful and positive way, then I get to work doing adjustments as well as implementing those “add-on” I take regular breaks to keep my ears and mind fresh
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My home studio was treated by PrimAcoustic, I have KRK and Yamaha monitoring with HS6’s and the HS10W subwoofer, Beyerdynamic DT-1990 Pro headphones, an Apollo X8, the latest and greatest ProTools on my iMac Pro
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Bruce Sweden and Mike Dean are huge influences on me at this stage of my career but everything started when I started listening to hip-hop music for the first time, specifically Drake, Dr. Dre and Kanye West.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I most commonly record in person as the head engineer and do vocal production which entails tuning, editing and comping vocal takes into a single polished take, I also mix song for clients.
