Tumbleweed on SoundBetter

Bring me the idea. I'll bring it to life. Big emotions. Epic melodies. Hard-hitting production.

Whether you've got a full song, a rough demo, a vocal, a chord progression, or just a feeling you want the music to capture, I'm here to turn that starting point into something you actually want to listen to on repeat.

My production is built around three things: big emotions, memorable melodies, and hard-hitting sound.

I love the creative part of producing—finding the chord progression that makes a song hit harder, writing the melody you can't get out of your head, building a bassline that gives the record its identity, and turning a rough idea into a finished production.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Sometimes the best records start with one good idea.

You bring the idea. I'll run with it.

Great working with RD! Kind, professional and super talented. He and partner Jon were laser focused and flexible with what needed to get done with their track, and the final master came out fantastic. I can't wait to hear what they do next.

Interview with Tumbleweed

  1. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  2. A: Most people think you need an expensive studio setup and all the best software to produce good music. Cool gear is sick, but you don't need it all to get started. I started with a really old trial version of StudioOne and a single guitar amplifier hooked up to my pc with a junky aux cable. Everyone starts somewhere.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: I would say to choose someone that loves what they do as much as you do! Passion and confidence are extremely important.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I got started with music in elementary school as a pass time and I've stuck with music ever since. I love it to death.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: A little bit of everything, whenever and however. I love it all.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: I would love to work with Post Malone and produce a track with a vibe from the Hollywood's Bleeding era. Such a great era of music and influential for me at the time it was released.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Don't box yourself in with a strict set of rules. Chase your creativity and learn to listen to your heart. Find your "sound" as you find yourself. Seriously, don't overcomplicate it!

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: Trap, Hip-Hop, EDM.

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: Turning small ideas into full arrangements with clear and concise work.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: Energy, emotion, and strong connection.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: The first time we meet, I'll spend some time talking to you about your vision. Once I get a feel for your style, we'll move into drums/melodies/progressions or build around your vocal to get a basic arrangement laid down. Then we'll refine down to your finished project.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: I originally started producing because of Marshmello. I also really like Post Malone, NF, and other newer rappers like Connor Price or Coop.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: My favorite and most common work is production and beatmaking. Bring me the idea, and I'll finish it with you. Not just "for" you, but with you. I want you to feel connected to your projects and confident in your abilities.

  25. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  26. A: Dan Konopka. By far one of the coolest mixing engineers you could ever work with.
