Interview with Dima Mykytyn
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My first serious job. It was a Ukrainian web series named "Predators". "The story tells of a closed mysterious territory called the Zone. The main character tries for the second time to get to its center, a place where no one has yet reached, but he attracts too much attention and now he is followed by both simple marauders with stalkers and assassins. Dangerous with its anomalies and mutants, the radioactive zone confronts predators much more dangerous than mutants. There is no worse beast in the Zone than humans." It was wonderful and unforgettable. I gained a lot of experience and good friends, and I fell in love with the world of cinema forever.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: In 2021 I work at two movies, a theatre play, create music for a lot of commercials, and compose and record piano albums.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I am a professional pianist with more than 19 years of experience. I also compose music all my life, but it became my main profession in 2019 when I started work with movies and create music tracks for orders.

A: I believe that every project, regardless of whether it is a movie, a game, or an advertisement, carries certain values and philosophy. So my task as a composer is to emphasize this.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Commercial tracks, piano music, and soundtracks for movies.

A: I treat each of my projects with the utmost attention. I try to understand the essence of the project, idea, task as much as possible and I approach each project with professionalism, so as a result of which a custom, professional, high-quality, non-standard product is obtained.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Much can be said in words or shown on the screen, but music is a language that communicates emotionally with those parts of a person that can never be reached by any word or image. For me, music is a unique tool for deepening the viewer into the idea and value of a product or film.
Q: What's your typical work process?
