Session Guitarist

A song is more than the sum of its parts, so I look at the whole puzzle to know how to best fit my piece into it. Graduate of Texas State in Sound Recording Technology with a minor in Music Composition and emphasis in guitar. I love all sides of the music making process, and studying those 3 areas has helped make me a well rounded music maker.

Getting my feet wet in a variety of instruments, recording, and songwriting has given me perspective on music as a whole. Knowing how every element combines with one another helps me to make creative decisions that best serve the song. I'm always looking at the big picture in a project, even if I am only bringing one small part to the table.

I pride myself in my sense of melody and creative mind. Straight shredding isn't my forte, but I can work in some tasty licks if that's what you're looking for. For guitar solos, I'm writing things that are memorable and stand out, but not usually technically flashy. Acoustic is typically rhythmic and supporting the rest of the music so that it doesn't stand out too much.

I'm not a veteran at all in these parts, but that's why I can bring you something fresh and new!
