Hey, If you want to get the best out of your mix/master, you've come to the right place. I will not let you down and I always aim for the highest quality! My biggest strength is vocal production, I've been working side by side with a producer who was part of the Max Martin team and produced vocals for Celine Dion, Westlife and more.
A brief bio:
I'm 33 years old living in Stockholm Sweden, I've always loved sound design and that's my biggest interest. I've been in the business for 10 years, I have since then built myself 22 Studios and I now have this big community of famous artists such as Eric Turner and Garmiani housing under my roof. The studio I'm sitting in is one of the best studios in Sweden and I'm really proud of how it sounds. I'm able to hear things in here I never thought I could and that's really what differentiate me from the others. Let me put my magic on your Songs! I will not just put a random "vocal chain" on the stuff and spit out mixes to people like it was an assembly line, I will take the time every track needs to make it as perfect as I can!

Interview with David Hip Nordin
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I've got two major projects that are running alongside my soundbetter profile. One with Chris Red and then my own with WHip
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Trippz michaud is an awesome vocalist and he delivers the greatest performances
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! You can't beat analog when recording or reamping certain things but the convenience with digital is just so good! I'm using analog when I'm looking for that extra spice. Especially for vocals and sub bass
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will be 100% happy with the result! I can guarantee that
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The feeling you get when you have made the last edit and it sounds amazing. The feeling when you push the speakers and it just bounces!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much will it cost It depends on the ambition
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's just mumbo jumbo and you could use simple AI tools provided on the internet or in the plugins.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Whats your ambition, how good do you want it to sound
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure you got the lead vocal also in totally dry with nothing but tuning on it for the best results.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A 1073 preamp, Sony C800G mic, Universal audio 1176, Teletronix la2a and ATC SCM 45 Pro
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been in the business for 10 years. building 22 studios so far and I would say that the way I'm able to hear subtle differences in frequencies after I built my last studio is such a bless.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm a bit edgy and forward thinking.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ariana Grande, Her vocals are the greatest I've ever heard
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't listen to everything everyone saying on youtube. Most is good but some is just so misleading. Don't underestimate a good sounding room in front of good sounding speakers.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Generally Pop music. But I'm familiar with all difference of genres
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocal production, no doubt about it. I don't let anything slip through!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: That magic last 20% most producers/mixers don't get!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I'm using my ears, listening to the track one or two times and taking notes on what I want to accomplish with the mix and from there I'm just grinding until I have made it as good as I can.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I've been building it from the ground up by myself and has put my whole heart in it! It got state of the art Diffusers and Helmholtz resonators. The stereo image and depth in the sound field in there is the best i've ever hear. It's equipped with one of the biggest subwoofers from genelec and can reach the lowest of frequencies. I'm able to set the mix balance in a couple of minutes in this amazing room. I also have a lot of high end equipment as well !
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Deadmau5, Dave pensado, Warren huart
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing, mastering and vocal production
