My name is Markus Ambrosi,
I love music, caring for all the details that make the magic happen.. as a player, producer,
writer or mixing and mastering engineer.
I've been playing drums for over 30 years now in all kinds of genres -
Rock, Pop, Metal, Prog Metal, Fusion, Funk, Latin, Jazz, Classical, Traditional..
I studied rock/pop drums with Claus Hessler at the "Berufsfachschule für Musik" in Dinkelsbühl (Germany) from 2006 to 2008.

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: playing drums, listening and feeling music

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I do what i can, to make your music as good as possible.

  7. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  8. A: In 2019 I was hired for 3 live shows, playing the whole Dream Theater Album "Scenes from a memory" arranged for choir and band. Great Moments !!

  9. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  10. A: writing brass arrangements of some traditional songs, transcribing some music for students of a friend, preparing drums for the upcoming concerts, practicing..

  12. A: Andreas Schmid, a great professional bass player in my town.

  14. A: Both ... important is that you know your gear, what it can do and what for you can use it.

  15. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  16. A: Great music reflects a great life. It can help us to live better.

  18. A: Most customers know me for a long time, and they know what they get :)

  20. A: fooling around.. being unprofessional..

  26. A: Over 30 Years... Starting as a drummer... visiting many concerts, listening to many records, trying to understand what makes music so interesting to me and others

  32. A: Have a clear vision of your result

  36. A: The right feel

  38. A: Learning about the songs - feel, form, sound, idea. Being well prepared for making it as great as possible.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: Cubase Elements, The combination Presonus Preamps with Focusrite Converters for drums, Sommer High Quality Cables, Shure, Sennheiser, Akg drum mics, different overhead mics (small / medium / large diaphragm condencer)

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: All the musicians, that sound great.. Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips, Andy Timmons, and many more in many genres Great records that are handmade.. at the moment it is "Shania Twain - Come on over" .. (i use this as a reference in mixing or setting up PA / Studio System)

  44. A: teaching drums, playing drums live and in the studio, arranging songs, live mixing, recording
