I've worked with Andrew over the years on many high-stakes client-attended sessions for games, ads, etc. It's unique to find a guitarist that can read, listen, nail it, and sound completely natural nailing it. I'm a guitarist myself and I appreciate his ability to understand how improvise and comp tastefully, and his attention to tone.

One of the best guitar players out there. I've worked with Andrew many times over the years and he brings positive energy, fresh ideas and true virtuosity to every session. He's a good listener and collaborator who can look into a track and quickly bring out the best of what's needed. He is versatile and can play across a wide range of styles and attitudes. But what truly sets him apart is his ability to consistently play from the heart, adding authenticity to every song. The real deal!

Andrew has played on two of my records. He’s incredibly versatile. He can get the sound that’s right for the track. He’s fast. He’s a great player, a great guy, and he’s a delight to work with.

I've worked with Andrew for years, both in the studio and on stage. In the studio, his ability to come up with multiple layers of guitar parts that work beautfully together - and suit the song - is impressive to say the least. Onstage I was only sorry I didn't have a few Andrew clones to play the other parts he'd come up with for each song.

He is creative, thoughtful and sensitive to the material. He'll happily explore and try different approaches, but I found that the best results came from just letting him do his thing. A pleasure to work with and a consummate professional.

I consider Andrew Carillo the perfect session guitar player. The conversations are rarely about music because they don’t have to be. Andrew quickly knows exactly what’s right for the vibe of the song and he’s so quick to place that perfect guitar part in there that much conversation is really not needed. This leaves time for much better conversation about solving the problems of the world and wine.
