Mixing begins at post-production, where Proven Audio Productions cuts and balances the separate tracks into a session to sound good when played together. With tools like EQ (FabFilter Pro Q3), compression, panning, and reverb at our disposal, we reduce clashes between instruments, tighten grooves, and emphasize important song elements. In some cases, we even layer drum hits with samples from outside the session or mute redundant instrument parts.
Mastering requires the last special touch using iZotope Ozone 9 Elements to make a change to the way something sounds and catch mistakes, so that what appears on all copies and duplications of a song are
aligned to the artist’s vision.
