Grammy-award-winning mixer/producer/engineer based in London UK. I mainly work out of the fantastic Eastcote Studios (www.eastcotestudios.co.uk) but can do sessions whenever we have to. I'm at home working bands tracking live in big rooms but also with more electronic, programmed based productions.
George Murphy is a multi-award winning music producer, mixer and recording engineer based in London, UK. After receiving the Pro Sound Awards “Rising Star” award in 2016, George went on to receive awards and nominations from the Grammys, Emmy’s and the Cinema Audio Society, as well as working on multiple gold and platinum selling records.
With over 14 years experience in the record industry, George began his career engineering for some of the industry’s most respected producers (Marcus Dravs, Chris Kimsey, Mark Ronson, Catherine Marks, Martin Terefe). After this, his focus turned to production work, and quickly became one of the go-to producers in the UK indie/alt-rock world, working with artists such as HMLTD, The Big Moon, Hotel Lux and Mystic Peach.
Leveraging the success of this work, George moved on to higher profile projects, producing two #1 albums for The Coronas (“True Love awaits” and “Time Stopped” - So Far So Good Records) and Drug Store Romeo’s debut album (“The World Within Our Bedrooms” - Fiction). As well as new tracks with Razorlight for “Razorwhat? The Best of Razorlight”, working with Marcus Mumford recording and mixing the Emmy-wining score to Apple TV series “Ted Lasso”, and mixing the Grammy-Award Winning album "This Moment" for John McLaughlin and Shakti.
George is currently based at Eastcote Studios - London
