I have been described as the "musicians' engineer". Players from all walks of life seek me out because my mixes transport people inside their music. I specialize in taking real musical performances and making them come alive in the headphones. My mixes bridge the gap between the loudness war and fidelity. I mean, why can't we have both?

To date I have worked on over 1000 projects.

One time I recorded Anthrax, Albert Lee, Al DiMeola, Carl Verheyen, Oz Noy, Will Lee and Dennis Chambers all within the same month.

I am considered a thought leader on music technology and are a featured monthly columnist for Recording Magazine.

I built the recording studio division of the billion dollar US retailer Sweetwater Sound, Inc. and taught hundreds of working recording workshops for thousands of people.

I am a certified Pro Tools Expert by Avid and helped them write their course curriculum on the subject.

I'm also a bass player who has shared the stage with Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Robben Ford, Don Felder and Dweezil Zappa.

Always seeking (succeeding) to bring out the best in the recording space, hardware, artist, session musicians and tools of post production to sevre the project at hand. Mark has recorded my last 3 albums and many other projects that I've produced or been involved with. I've worked with hundreds of engineers over my long career as a recording musician and he's one of the very few with a telepathic connection when it comes to getting guitar sounds. He's fast when you need him to be but takes the time when that's what is needed. Mark Hornsby is the best there is!
