  12. A: Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock, Metal, Classical, World-Music, Gospel, Electronic

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: This can sometimes be overlooked, but the greatest thing that our engineers can provide is EXPERIENCE. Having a combined 50 years experience between engineers and producers helps a lot of artists save time and avoid common pitfalls when making music. Additionally, having stayed current with music trends our team can ensure that each artist gets the sound they are looking for.

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: Communicating with people and LISTENING with our ears.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: This can range greatly depending on the workflow of the person we are working with. Generally, there is a set flow that goes something like -- production/writing, recording, editing/comping takes, "pocketing" vocals and instruments, Mixing blending and tonal balance of recorded tracks, spending a little extra time on effects and the "signature sauce" for a given song, finally Mastering overall project level with final tonal balancing and fades.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: At XRJ there are multiple recording, mixing, and mastering suites. This allows a larger number of sessions and courses to occur simultaneously. At XRJ, we believe that this type of environment fosters greater levels of networking and creativity than in a smaller studio setting. Artists can even network and connect with other artists in our cafe between sessions or during breaks. All of the equipment at XRJ Sessions is top of the line and the rooms were acoustically designed to produce professional results effortlessly.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: All Time Favorite Engineers/Producers: Leslie Brathwaite Dave Pensado Manny Marroquin Mike Brauer

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: Typically when I work with clients I am involved to some degree in the whole process. This means I assist in the songwriting and arrangement process, perform recording and comping duties, then work with the client through the mixing and mastering process.
