For over 35 years in the Music Business, I have been working as the right-hand man to artists such as Carly Simon, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple & Susanna Hoffs (Bangles). I have worked as a Producer, Musical Director, Film & TV Composer, Session Guitarist, Writer & Arranger. I have a penchant for coloring outside the lines.

I specialize in creating modern pop alternative Instrumental tracks. My main instrument is guitar, but that has not stopped me from playing every instrument on a track given a chance. I am lucky enough to have 35 years+ worth of studio and road experience under my hat. I spent years working with Grammy-nominated artist Aimee Mann as her guitarist, producer, and occasional co-writer. I was a part of the team that helped craft the song-track that became the soundtrack to the acclaimed movie "Magnolia," including the Oscar-nominated song "Save Me." Moving into the Producer role, we turned out the luscious "Lost In Space" as well as many pieces for Film & TV. Throughout the Nineties, I worked as a session guitarist and toured with Carly Simon, Fiona Apple & Susanna Hoffs. Throughout the 2000's I spent most of my time in the studio and on the road. I have worked for Apple creating music for iMove trailers and Memories. Next time Photos on your iPhone suggests a memory to you; you may well be listening to my soundtrack. In recent years I have written & recorded songs for the Young & The Restless & Netflix with my project Francis Devout & the New Spiritualists, a modern/pop/alt/nu-wave duo.

My specialty is creating atmosphere and arranging instruments to complete the whole spectrum in a song. I am a Lo-Fi enthusiast and craft guitar noise for the modern era.
