Interview with yorch
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: it's so interesting to me the way that the records are made, but if I had to decide a top 3 producers they would be: Kevin Parker: He make great records from nothing, you have this guy in his room trying to figure it out how to make it with a bunch of old gear. Quincy Jones: a real old G that came from nothing, director of Sinatra orchestra, producer of MJ, this kind of guys always have an idea of what to do in every record. Mark Ronson: a new G that starts scratching in NY clubs, he always find new ways to make new stuff with certain mood of the old records.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Produce songs from scratch, when someone wants to work with me I secure that the musical mood will be on phase, this all mean that I´m on the search of new sounds that make that song special from another ones. I usually take a look of what's happening around the world in terms of new productions or new records, but I focus on the old days around the middle 70s, stuff make with reel to reel machines and I try to recreate that stuff on this digital age.
