Interview with Eph See
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My recent single "the pill" got placed on Spotify Fresh Finds, and Fresh Finds: Pop! I wrote and co-produced it!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I just love creating and trying new things. So working on projects with different producers and musicians helps me flex that creative muscle as often as possible!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have a really good ear for harmonies! It's my favorite part of the recording process for sure.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a refreshing sound. I sing in many different styles so if you give me your desired vibe and vision for the song, I'll make it happen.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I'm pretty efficient. When inspiration strikes, I can finish a song in an hour, even quicker if it's just background vocals. I send multiple takes of each track so the producers and engineers have lots of material to work with!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I really love The 1975, Frank Ocean, Mitski. I listen to it all and I love experimenting with different genres so I do a little bit of everything! I admire Charlie Puth, KennyBeats, and Jacob Collier for their production.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: my main work is background vocals (harmonies) and actual songwriting!

Eph See's latest, entitled "The Pill," is a song where at first listen, its simplicities are forward, but with additional time and listening, hits hard as an incredible moment the style and substance of coming of age... "The Pill" lingers in that beginning phase, but it's a charade for some serious deep thinking, partnered with a straight 2021 beat and vocal style.
