Interview with Spencer Bridle

  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: Don't be shy! music is subjective if you don't like something, let me know ASAP, cause i'll try my absolute best to track and make it work.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: Honestly, just headphones and a laptop with music software for me could do the trick.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I am a professional DJ who travels quite often for my own music career. I have mixed over 100 recrods for friends and clients whilst maintaining my night job as a touring DJ.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: My style varies on what my clients ask for! I dont have a specific style because every track I mix is different.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: I would love to work with some of the big house guys right now, like FISHER, Dom Dolla, John summit! I think if we stepped into the studio together we could make some magic!

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Yes! as mentioned earlier; GIVE YOUR EARS A BREAK! Make sure you take the necessary steps outside the studio to make sure your time in the studio is as efficient as possible.

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: EDM, Pop & Hip-hop!

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: Being able to take a poor recording to life. Every recording is able to work, you just need to use it in the proper way.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: I am able to make your song translate onto multiple different systems and sound amazing on each. I also have so much fun playing with delays and reverbs, that i can promise you I can make your tracks stand out creativly on the mixing front - but also can maintain that commercial standard. I have many tricks up my sleeves.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: I usually workout in the morning and hit the studio for the rest of the day around noon into the late hours of night. Refreshing my mind in the gym every morning and giving my ears a break is essential to me. Its crazy how much of a difference resting your ears does for your creative.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: I have a studio setup in my apartment, and run everything through ableton. Ableton has so many tools to manipulate audio , so that's why it is my go-to software. For analog gear, I am in-love with my Neve 1076 and my Distressor Compressor. Simply running some stems through these peices of gear makes certain things sound a way that I cant describe. Love it and the warm tone!

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: I am the biggest house music and rap fan! My favourite acts consist of Dom Dolla, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Drake, and Eminem.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: I typically am a songwriter and/or producer, but for the past couple of years i got into Mixing and Mastering my own records and have gotten awesome responses. Really fortunate to have music as my day job!
