Hello, J Miles here!
I've been making music in some form or fashion for most of my life. I am always striving to grow and become more creative in my craft. I want people to be inspired and feel freedom when they experience music I've been a part of!

I look forward to working with artists as passionate about creating as I am, no matter the genre or style.
No matter if it's belting out a powerful, catchy chorus on your brand new track or simply helping you find the sound that communicates your heart, I will give my all to your project! Give me a shout so we can change the atmosphere and create something amazing!

A new EP for my personal project which is called Luzius Stone.
Analog or digital and why?
Both. I'm not one to get caught up on technicalities, I get caught up in the process of creating.
What do you like most about your job?
Creating something out of nothing and personally being moved by it, then watching someone else be affected by it in a completely different way.
What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
That I make music from a computer.... As if the computer is the composer....
What questions do you ask prospective clients?
What are your goals for this project? How do you want to be affected emotionally? How much creative freedom do I have?

Guitar Mic Moog Sub Phatty Apogee Duet Mac
What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
I worked at a bike shop for a long time and made music on the side. Then I moved to Germany and spent a whole year writing/ producing and finding my sound and what I was trying to express sonically. I've been producing for 5 years now, singing forever and writing songs for about 15 years.
How would you describe your style?
Free and alive
Which artist would you like to work with and why?
Saul Williams. He is such a wise and confident artist who has put out an incredible body of work. I feel like I would learn just from being in the room with him.
Can you share one music production tip?
Try anything!
What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
El-P, Boots, Saul Williams, DJ Shadow, Nigel Godrich and on and on.
