Interview with Mayowa Ifah

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: You're getting clean and professional tones from Pearl Music City Custom Reference Pure Kit with an additional Sensitone Premium Beaded Brass Snare (and a few others) and Meinl Byzance Cymbals. Mics: AKG D112, Shure SM57, Sennheiser e604 3-Pack and a Rode NT5 MP Matched Pair. I record into straight into a Behringer X32 Compact and into my Ableton Live.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I play a lot of Gospel, Fusion, Jazz, Rock, Heavy Metal, Folk Music and Afro.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Right now, I do a lot of remote session recordings. Primarily drum tracking; live and programmed.
