Miles Wheway on SoundBetter

Creative and attentive audio engineer here to help give your productions that extra special touch - be it music, voiceovers or podcasts. If it's sound, I'm all ears.

Hello there! I'm Miles, an audio engineer and producer with training from the most iconic of studios: Abbey Road. There I developed my skills recording, producing and mixing various projects across multiple genres.

I offer remote editing, mixing and mastering, working in-the-box to get the sound that's in your head coming out a set of speakers. I love working with musicians who are really passionate about their music, collaborating to get that sound in the back of your head coming out a set of speakers.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to discuss any aspect of my services in greater detail.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with Miles Wheway

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I mix in-the-box with either Pro Tools or Logic Pro. I find working in digital domain gives so much more control over fine-tuning mixes, especially when making alterations for revisions.

  3. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  4. A: What are your reference tracks and why are they your references? Would you like the track quantised to a bpm or free? What's the most important part in the song (instrument or section)?

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: Most of my work is mixing down projects. This also often includes editing, comping and tuning instruments and vocals. Sometimes I have also been required to fix audio problems using iZotope's RX8.
