NEW TO SOUNDBETTER DEAL: Piano or synth parts for only $25,- | Hi! My name is Wessel, a pianist, producer, and artist with a passion for cinematic sound, pop, indie, hip-hop, and R&B. I’ve been making and performing music since I was 6, with a strong jazz background. I create rich, unique tracks, from only keys to full productions.
Whether you need dynamic piano, synths, Hammond organ or a full track written and produced from scratch, I’m here to bring your vision to life. I’m a classically trained pianist with a deep jazz background, but I also play bass, guitar, drums, and sing. This is giving me the flexibility to add exactly what your project needs. I teach piano at major institutions and have years of experience working with artists across pop, indie, hip-hop, R&B, and cinematic music.
As a producer and multi-instrumentalist, I’m your guy in every stage of the creative process, from songwriting and arrangement to recording and final production. My approach is all about serving the song and capturing emotion, crafting rich, unique sounds that elevate your music. I’m committed to clear communication and collaboration, and I won’t rest until you’re 100% satisfied with the result. Hit me up and let’s make something unforgettable together. Endorse Studio WESInterview with Studio WES
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is bringing emotion and depth to a track through keys and arrangement. Whether it’s a minimal piano part, lush chord voicings or full cinematic textures, I know how to shape the mood and feel of a song in a way that supports the artist’s message. My jazz background gives me a strong harmonic foundation and my experience as a multi-instrumentalist and producer helps me see the full picture of a song. What it needs, what it doesn’t, and how to make it hit just right. I’m especially good at listening deeply and translating abstract ideas into sound.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is a mix of high-quality analog and digital gear. I play and record primarily on my Nord Stage 3 for its broad sounds and feel, above this one I have the Roland Jupiter-80 for lush synth textures and cinematic layers. For deep, expressive analog tones, I use the Moog Sub 37, which adds warmth and character bass to my productions. Vocals and acoustic instruments are captured with a Warm Audio WA-87 R2, giving me clean, rich recordings with a vintage touch. I also play an Art & Lutherie acoustic guitar, an Epiphone Les Paul 100 electric, and an Ibanez BTB200 bass, which I regularly use for layering and writing. And for when inspiration strikes, there's even an old trumpet in the corner. It’s all about vibe and creativity in my space.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by artists and producers who blend emotion with innovation. Musicians like Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans and Robert Glasper push the boundaries of harmony and groove in ways that feel both fresh and soulful. On the production side I admire people like Finneas, Rick Rubin and Mike Dean for their ability to create cinematic, emotionally charged soundscapes that serve the artist’s voice. I also draw a lot from classic icons like Stevie Wonder and Bowie who were true multi-instrumentalists and storytellers. Their creativity and fearless experimentation inspire me to keep evolving and stay authentic in my sound.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do is crafting full productions and recording dynamic piano or keyboard parts for artists, producers and filmmakers. Whether it's building a track from scratch, adding rich harmonies, or layering synths and textures, I bring musicality, emotion and polish to every project. My jazz background and multi-instrumental skills allow me to adapt across genres like pop, r&b, indie, hip-hop, and cinematic, while keeping the sound unique and keep focusing on the artists. I’m often brought in to elevate a song’s feel, fill in missing elements, or create something totally fresh that fits the client’s vision.

This has been such a wonderful journey and I'm so proud and happy that I can finally share it with the world. A journey about love, time and the people. These past few years I've been writing a lot and now it's out there. Give it a listen if you want!
