My name is Ryan Sanchez and I am a professional recording, mixing, mastering engineer and music producer. I have worked on many high profile projects including The Walking Dead, Outlander, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, 10 Cloverfield Lane, God of War and more. I have an immense love and passion for film scores and records across all genres of music!
I have been working as a professional audio engineer for over 10 years now. The majority of my success has come from music for TV shows, feature films, and videogames under Emmy award winning composer, Bear McCreary. In records, I have worked with Crooks & Castles, Kobe Honeycutt, Joey Djia, and more.
I consistently work under strict deadlines and understand how to work efficiently under pressure. I am not happy with a recording, mix or master unless my client is! I love collaborating with fellow creatives and truly enjoy the process of perfecting the music we work on together. I have the ability to deliver in Stereo, Binaural, 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 7.1, Atmos and 360 for VR.
I am confident that I can work within your budget no matter what the project entails and I look forward to working with you soon!
I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Interview with Ryan Sanchez
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of all my projects! Whether I'm recording musicians, mixing/mastering, or producing, I take pride in whatever part of the process I contributed to.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Outlander and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I do believe the digital way of doing things is much more efficient and today's plugins are sounding closer and closer to the real thing! However, analog still sounds the best overall to me as there is just something extra special that you can't completely get from plugins.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What are your rates? It depends on the amount of work needed to complete your project, however I am very reasonable and am open to negotiation. What have you worked on recently? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4694876/ Can I hear some of your mixes, masters, or songs you have written? Yes, I have plenty of work on Apple Music and Spotify to check out. I'd be happy to send links to those! Do I have to pay you upfront or after a project is completed? Can you give me a general idea of what my project will cost? If you have an extensive project such as a full length album or score, then I expect a negotiable percentage paid up front before we begin working. The rest is expected to be paid upon completion of your project. This applies to projects with an all in flat fee. If we begin to establish a reliable and consistent relationship, then I become more flexible with payment for my services. If it's a project we have negotiated based on an hourly rate, then I require a 3 hour minimum for each recording session you book with me. This must be paid at the end of each session. The amount of hours needed to complete a mix vary based on the number of tracks in your project and the quality of the sounds used. I am open to both flat rates or hourly rates for a mix. Can I bring friends to the sessions I book? Yes, absolutely! Is smoking allowed inside? Absolutely not! What forms of payment do you accept? PayPal, Venmo, Checks, Cash
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love what I do and have a very strong passion for music. I love the creative and collaborative aspect when working with my clients. I especially love to push the boundaries of the creative process and experiment.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Talented and hard working individuals who are open to collaboration. Being able to share your opinions honestly are crucial to the final product!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Film scores, Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Recording, mixing, mastering, and producing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Totally depends on the project.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording, mixing, mastering, and producing.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will give your project a 110% effort and will do whatever it takes to make it sound great. I will be respectful of your vision and will be as flexible as possible with you.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The most difficult thing is communicating exactly how an engineer records and mixes a piece of music. The records and film scores you hear on the radio, on an album or on a feature film take hours and hours of hard work from the writing and recording process to the final steps in the mastering process. Engineering is a very specific skill that requires a high level of attention to detail and only comes with experience. There are no shortcuts in getting a great final product.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your budget? What are you hoping to accomplish with my services? Do you have a specific deadline? How flexible are you with a session date and what times of the day are you available to work?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar and bass at age 10 and then began playing for various bands throughout high school. I eventually picked up piano as well. I started interning at various professional recording studios during my freshman year of college and began learning from working industry professionals. l attended The University of Southern California (USC) and majored within the notorious Thornton School of Music. I have worked at some of the best recording studios in Los Angeles over the past 8 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Big, Cinematic, Atmospheric mixes and production
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Picking the right sounds and live elements for your song is crucial!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: High quality audio, professional mix and master, high quality recordings of vocals and live instruments. I also bring an experienced 2nd opinion and executive producing skills. I write music with artists as well, so I bring my own style of production to their songs.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Too many to list!

I offer 4 mix/master revisions per song until additional charges apply. I am very efficient with turnaround, but if you have a project with a very strict deadline, then additional charges may apply.
