Rabid Dog Studio on SoundBetter

I help artists bridge the gap between a raw recording and a professional record. My focus is on mixing that preserves your vision while ensuring clarity, depth, and punch. Whether you need a tight low-end or a perfect vocal pocket, I’ll give your music the edge it needs to translate on any system. Let's talk about your sound.

At Rabid Dog Studios, the goal is simple: to make sure the heart of your song isn’t lost in the technicalities. A great mix shouldn't just sound "professional"—it should feel like the best version of your vision.

Mixing is a partnership. I work closely with you to understand the emotion and the "why" behind your music. Whether you’ve spent months on a single track or years on an album, I treat your project with the same level of care and obsession that you put into writing it.

My focus is on creating a balanced, cohesive sound that translates across every listening environment. I ensure every instrument has its own space, allowing the nuances of your performance to shine through without clutter. From tight, punchy low-ends to vocals that sit exactly where they belong, the result is a mix that feels intentional and complete.

You’ve done the hard work of creating the music. My job is to handle the technical heavy lifting—balancing dynamics, enhancing depth, and ensuring radio-ready impact—so you can focus on your next creative move.

Let’s talk about your project. I’d love to hear what you’re working on and see how we can bring it to its full potential together.

Interview with Rabid Dog Studio

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: We believe you shouldn't have to choose between character and control. That’s why we run a hybrid workflow. Digital is perfect for surgical precision and the flexibility of modern editing, but music needs the 'moving air' and harmonic warmth that only physical gear provides. By using a hybrid setup, we take your high-resolution digital tracks and run them through our analog outboard gear. This process injects that raw, 'analog soul' back into the recording, giving you a mix that has the depth of a classic record with the punch and clarity of a modern, radio-ready production.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: At Rabid Dog Studio, our setup is designed around a Hybrid Workflow—combining the organic 'moving air' of legendary analog hardware with the surgical precision of modern digital tools. For tracking, we have a specialized selection of industry-defining stacks, including Marshall JCM, JVM, and JTM heads, alongside the crushing low-end authority of the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. These are paired with a curated microphone locker featuring Neumann, Shure, and AKG standards to ensure every transient is captured with absolute clarity. In the control room, we run high-resolution AD/DA conversion into a calibrated environment featuring Yamaha and Avantone monitoring. This allows us to offer professional Reamping and Remote Mixing services where we can run your home-recorded DI tracks through our physical gear to give them that authentic, radio-ready harmonic richness. Whether you're recording live in-studio or sending files from across the world, our gear is tuned to deliver maximum sonic impact.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: When you come to Rabid Dog Studio, our goal is to take your raw creative energy and turn it into a high-impact, professional record that stands up on any global playlist. Most of the work we do for artists centers on Full-Scale Production and Hybrid Mixing. Whether you’re a solo songwriter looking for that polished, commercial sheen or a full band needing the massive 'wall-of-sound' only real Marshall and Mesa stacks can provide, we specialize in capturing that authentic power. We do a lot of Remote Mixing and Reamping as well—so even if you've tracked at home, we can breathe 'real air' and harmonic richness into your DI signals through our boutique analog chain. Essentially, we’re here to ensure your sonic identity is never compromised by your gear or your environment.
