A guy who loves music more than anything else. More than 25 years of music experience. I have worked on site and remotely with several artists from many different places all over the world, not only from Brazil.
I have been playing the guitar for 30 years and listen to the most different types of music, from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Dua Lipa, so you can count on me for a lot of different projects. My favorite artists are Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Stevie Wonder. Yes, I'm kind of an eclectic guy!
My approach on the guitar is very melodic and emotional. I like to use a bluesy low gain or a clean twangy tone to rhythm guitars, with a little bit of a creamy overdrive to push them on the leads. I also like using slide (glass ones, the most of the time) to build solos or textures during the song.
I am offering:
guitars for original or cover songs
top line songwriting (lyrics or music)
mixing and mastering
music production

Interview with Leandro Chernicharo
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Only acoustic ones. ;-)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: It's been 30 years since I first picked up a guitar. Long time ago. I've always wanted to do ONLY music for a living and be a respected musician. I'm on the road still...
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I'm always playing some blues, but pop-rock is what I work on the most of the time.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I really love Pink Floyd and The Beatles. If look with the right eye you'll see that everything you need to produce good music is there. They've done everything that's possible in music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually record guitars in their songs. I talk to them about the whole concept of the lyrics and the arrangement to create my guitar parts in a way they fit correctly into the song.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: We really need to talk about the main goals of the project his working on. It really helps me a lot! The final result is way better when I really understand the emotions behind everything I'm in.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A bluesy pop guy that sounds like the previous 80's guitar players. If that's possible! :-)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Stevie Wonder, for sure. There's no one in this whole galaxy more musical than him.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: To be able to find that hidden emotion and use it to build my lines.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Emotion and sensibility, definitely. Without them there is no music, in my opinion.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: As I said above, when I work with other artists I always talk to them about the concept of the song and maybe the whole album. The idea of the artist about that particular song is the place where his/her emotions are really hidden. My job is to find them and talk to them with my musical parts.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never ever ignore the artist's inner self and truth.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Focusrite Scarlett Audio Interface, MXL and Shure mics, Positive Grid Bias FX 2 and a lot of top level plugins for mixing and mastering.
