Interview with Senitex Studios

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I am most proud of my own project called Senitex which is on iTunes, Google Play Music, Amazon, Spotify and more because it is my own music that I made for myself and makes me happy for what I've done and am able to do. I wrote, composed, recorded, produced, and mastered on all of the tracks.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: A new song for the TV show Pit Bulls & Parolees along with live mixing for a musical production in Hollywood.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: No one that I know of.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. Simply put technology has improved so much that no one can hear 10 pieces of music and get 100% correct if it is Analog or Digital. With this in mind Digital has made it so much easier to get ideas down for music and create full productions of a song compared to Analog and with any creative mind, the faster the idea gets put down the better so that it is not lost with 10 other ideas.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: The final mix is going to be something we all love.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: It doesn't feel like a job to me.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: How long will the work take? My answer is, I work hard and extremely fast so within a week a song should be finished depending on what the song requires and what the job is exactly.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: It's not a real job.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What type of music is looking to be made?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Look for someone that has material that backs up what they say they can do.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Computer, Interface, Guitar, Bass, Headphones

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Music Producer for 4 years and app developer for a little over a year now.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Simple and catchy.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Ariana Grande. Her newest album is incredible. She has so much potential and talent and all her music up to this point has shown she is capable of many genres and different singing techniques making her extremely fun to work with as I will never be limited to one line of thinking in terms of music.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Take short breaks! Most important part to keep the brain fresh and thinking of new ideas.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: EDM, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, and a little Blues.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Making the client happy

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Originality and a kick ass full sounding mix with the lows complementing the high end and the mids keeping the whole song in tact.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Get a fundamental guitar line recorded then add a simple drum beat to outline what I envision for the song. Then I go back to the guitar and get the main tracks down working my way through. Fix up the drums to how I see fit and lastly work in bass to get in rhythm with the finished drums. Then add in Percussion if needed/wanted. If no Guitar is wanted then a fundamental melody is created first through a synth/piano of some sort to begin.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: Cubase hooked up with tons of VTS such as Maschine, Komplete Elements, Turnado, iZotope, Nexus, Massive, Spire, EZDrummer and more. Komplete Audio 6 Interface and a Tascam Interface US-122, Audio Technica ATH-M50x, Ultrasone Pro 650, M-Audio BX5 Studio Monitors, Fender Bass, Fender Starcaster Guitar, Jackson Electric Guitar, and Fender Acustic Guitar

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: A lot of EDM Producers/Dj's inspire me due to the time and effort put in to each song. Ariana Grande and her Production Team is absolutely insane and amazing.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Mostly Rock, Pop and a mix of the two. Usually upbeat and catchy.
