Hi, I'm Sharon :) I was signed to CBS records years ago, I made a record, and I toured with Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, T-Bone Burnett, Al Green, Pat Benatar, Chris Isaak, and many more! I'd love to sing your song, or help you write a song, or any other way that I could help you with your music!!!
I have a history of success getting TV/Film placements with my voice. My song "Follow That Sound" was the theme song for the CBS television series "The Cleaner." Songs of my songs have also been featured on other network television shows including: "Sons of Anarchy," "NCIS," "The Ghost Whisperer," "The Good Wife," "Numb3rs," and "CSI:NY."

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My proudest project so far has been the album I just released. I wrote it with my partner Tim Sonnefeld. He is also my producer, and I felt like he gave me a lot of artistic production and freedom on the record.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started off singing in coffee shops when i was 17. It wasn't until I was 25 when I started touring the country singing at bigger venues. At 26, I received the attention of CBS records, and from there was chosen to be the opening act for Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, and T-Bone Burnett on their Raising Sand Tour in 2008. After that my songs were placed in TV shows on CBS. I am currently signed with Winding Way Records and just finished my first record with them.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Writing my next record and recording cover songs for my Youtube channel and my Patreon.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Erika Schiff and Charles Ruggerio
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Quality analog front end recorded to Pro Tools.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to always put my heart into it.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to do what I love most!!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I guess if someone is not in the music business, they don't really "get' what I do.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you are looking for a singer to really FEEL your song... that's me.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My dog, some Pinot Grigio, my microphone, a laptop, and my interface.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am an extremely passionate vocalist who enjoys the wildness of the voice. I enjoy choosing notes that make me feel like I'm jumping off a mountain and flying.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would LOVE to work with Bjork. I love her writing and performance art. Her voice is one of the most unique sounds i have ever heard.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I release weekly cover songs, and I just finished an album of original music. I also sing back-ups and main vocals for other projects that are not my own.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is allowing myself to let go during a performance but still having control over each note. I feel that within myself and I have also received that compliment from others.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I feel like every song should be sung in it's own unique way. I try to understand which direction the song wants to go and that's how I bring life and passion to a song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a vintage AKG C414EB microphone, a vintage Shure SM7, and a Heritage (Neve clone) 1073 preamp. I record into Pro Tools. I also have access to an incredible recording studio (RedStar Recording in Silver Lake, CA) where I can record (for an upcharge) on any of their lovely vintage tube mics (AKG C12, Neumann U47 or U67), vintage API console, vintage Neve preamps, vintage compressors, etc...
