Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love working with new people! I absolutely love creating and I love how excited clients are by the end!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: There are quite a few. A lot of people think we're all the same, but we're not. We each provide unique working experiences and unique products. It's very important to find a good fit for your song! Also, that what we do is easy. I've been contacted by many people that want me to do work for free. I understand everyone is on a budget, but session musicians work hard and invest a lot of time and money on our craft and gear. Most people will never understand how much time is spent practicing and preparing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask for a reference track and for a detailed description for what their song is about and what inspired them. I also would love to know what type of vocal quality they are looking for in their song.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Provide plenty of detail! This is your project and we're just here to cater to your overall vision. Let's make a song that you're excited and proud of!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My acoustic guitar and a lyric book/pencil! I love songwriting and I'm very old fashioned and still prefer handwriting my lyrics.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been studying vocals from high school through college education and I majored in vocal production in college. I am Operator Certified in Pro Tools.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My personal style ranges from soft singer-songwriter to aggressive, powerhouse country-rock. For clients I'm able to range between soft pop and powerhouse vocals.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on all sorts of genres. I've done a lot of work with pop, country, and EDM genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest ability is being able to adapt to what clients are looking for. I ask for reference tracks and descriptive detail to make sure I provide you with exactly what you want on the first try!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I work very hard with my clients to ensure that I perform as close to their vision as possible. I want to make sure you are 100% excited about the final product!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For recording vocals I typically spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour practicing your song before I even set up a recording session. From there I track 1-2 run throughs from start to finish and then go through and re-record in sections anything that needs to be retracted. After I love what I have, I clean up the vocal track for final delivery.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Past work I've done through other outlets includes recording vocals based on a melody guide, recorded cover songs, created melodies for pre-written lyrics, and write and record lyrics and melodies.
