My name is Naphtali Chivandikwa, a 25 year old Bassist. I am a session, recording and stage bassist with a 10 year experience of working in the field. I have managed to work with different local
artists such as Adiona Maboreke, Pastor Herman Chimusoro, Blessing Chimanga, Diana Samukange,
Cindy, Ngoni Kambarami, Sani Makhalima, Chikwata 263, Hope Masike, Dudu Manhenga, Josh Meki,
Plaxedes Wenyika, Victor Kunonga, Sabastian Magacha, Zimpraise, Minister Michael Mahendere,
Takesure Zamar, Mukhululi Bhebhe and Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi.
Internationally, I have worked with Amanda Tossoni (Italy), Romeo Fortunato(Italy), Zaza Mokethi
(South Africa), Sipho Makabane (South Africa), and I was also part of a group called Zimboita, a
collaboration between Zimbabweans and Italians.
I have toured Countries such as Italy, Switzerland, Australia, The United Kingdom, France, South Africa, Zambia, Ethiopia and Mozambique.
Currently working with a Group called Intotal Band.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: ZIMPRAISE LIVE DVD 2020. I was the music director.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on my first album. It's a bass Project.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because it makes life easier and it has minimum risks of losing your projects and files.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to be Professional and deliver a world class Job for my clients.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's my Dream and I'm living my Dream.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most Clients ask if I can deliver what they are looking for. My response would be, I will do my best to make you a Happy Client.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Probably the idea that a studio musician for hire is more interested in quantity of work than quality. I am very invested in composing, directing and creating the best music we can create together.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the name of the song What is the bpm of the song.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I would advise them to allow me to add my ideas and I'm also open for their suggestions, opinions and ideas.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would carry my Macbook Pro, Bass, Soundcard, Headphones and a Camera.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been playing the bass for 10 years and I look forward to decades of creativity.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am Creative and I have a unique way approach of creating Basslines.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: One day I would love to work with Richard Bona because he inspires me and I learn a lot of Things from him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I always love to think outside the box .
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Jazz, Afrobeat, House music, Raggae, Blues Music, Funk
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating unique Basslines, locking with the drummer and keeping the Groove.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a bassist I want to bring Depth to the song. And a different feel from the usual.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When given the song I take my time to understand the feel of the song and what is needed, this helps me to create unique and sing along lines.

A: Richard Bona, Nathan East, Marcus Miller.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I track Basslines in the Studio. And I also create lines and do live performances.
