Kato Hafez is a Roundglass (US) Music Awards Winner, He is a Solo Artist, a Multi-Instrumentalist / Vocalist / Guitarist / Producer / Composer / Songwriter, graduated from the Faculty of Law, He produces his music in his home studio in Alexandria/Egypt, and worked with many artists. He is most known for his work in Metal and Rock music, most of his work is in Arabic with an Egyptian dialect, sometimes Instrumental and in English too. During the early years of his career, He started a Self-titled EP , then followed by many singles later, also He works as a guitar tech as a hobby. Originally from Alexandria, which is still his hometown too

Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Effects, Life, Punch, Air & Loudness, and maybe I can add my touch as a musician if the customer wanted to with my live guitar performance or Midi. I can Program Midi Drums too.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid. The Distortion and the Grind of the Analog world mixed with the Digital is the best thing ever.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will Make them sound Great as much as possible no matter how difficult it will be, It doesn't matter, I do care about the final results only, and I think they Do care about the final results too.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I don't feel time and I really love to see how a client smiles in the end.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How do you get this huge Drums Sound? I created my Own Samples It's My Taste, It's My sound.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: You create your own sound , It's your imagination also it's not about how much gears do yu have.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Line 6 Hx Stomp, Guitar, Headphones.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 8 Years of Learning and Practicing on my own projects and My friends Projects.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Punchy and Wide.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ola Englund. He Taught me A lot and I would like to do anything for him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Record with a low level avoid clipping , Use crossfades if you recorded multiple takes while comping to avoid the clicking sound & If you record Rythm guitars usually record two takes not one take left and right (Don not copy paste it, no re-record and pan left and right) because the differences between your picking techniques and timing create a really good stereo surrounding sound for mixing. You can record multitrack recording 1 left and 1 right or quad trackng 2 and 2 depends on the riff and music style.

A: Rock, Metal, Pop, Pop Rock for mixing and Mastering Mostly any genre.
