Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: New Single and video for Shando and Pater Obassi, Music video for Dynamite, Television program for Belgium Tv Channel, Beats to sell, and a few small side Projects.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: We Promise a flawless communication during the project and even after because we like to follow up on our projects. We always deliver on time and reassure them a High Quality end product that is always approved by all SSQ members before delivering.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: All musicians now this music is hard work! Its not just having fun in the studio and balling on album covers...there is a need for passion, long term dedication, marketing and living music every day.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: We ask them about their projects, we ask them about their style and how what there ambitions are with their project. What sound are they looking for mood/tempo/male/female/futuristic/old-school or other? We ask them also what hey really don't want in their track.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Our team loves being creative everyday and getting a new Project is always exciting. Our first Project as SSQ named Live My Dreams by Dynamite is a good example. We created the song and video out of passion for the volcano on Saint-Vincent, now only 2 month's later this Project goth nominated for Best music video on the Hairouna Film Festival. Sadisfactoin of helping a team member or client accomplishing something with his/her project is the thing we like the most about our job.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: I would advice them to check for complete profiles read the Provider his interview. Check if you can level with the provider by reading these pages, reach out to a provider and tell them about your project because a good communication is key.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Shando bring those hard hitting 808's that will blow you away and is a perfectionist when it comes to his beats. Shando is also a Dutch Rapper with a tenor voice he can Collaborate, Write our record catchy hooks for who wants to push his music on the European Market. Dynamite Brings Instant Tropical vibes into a song, always spreads a good happy message in his lyrics and makes all ages dance. Every song he does sets immediately an uplifting happy vibe Nicki Pierre brings brings amazing dreamy happy lyrics in all her songs and can provide hit-making hooks, backup's and ect. Pater Obassa is dutch rapper who can provide dutch vocals, Backups and is also an english/dutch songwriter perfect for collaborations.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: We are currently building a high end Recording Studio In Bequia a Tiny Island part of Saint-Vincent And The Grenadines. This Studio is Located in an old hippy Beach house at the Beach no costs nor efforts are cut in order for us to have the best quality recording studio in Saint-Vincent and The Grenadines. We invest in the best!

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Limit yourself to only four or five reverbs across a whole mix and to shoot for fewer if possible. Maybe apply some verb to the drums, the vocals, a touch of “exploding snare,” and a spring verb on an otherwise dry guitar. The same goes for other effects. In our efforts to make everything interesting we can dull the overall impact of the entire mix. Therefore, learn the intentionality behind modulation, delay, and conventional pitch variance.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Hiphop, Reggae, pop, soca, reggaeton and all subgenre's

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Since we are a team of 4 we have 4 speciality's : Beat-production, Vocals/backup's female and male, Songwriting and VideoProduction.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Gear? Survival Gear? or Recording gear thats the question?

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: All South-Side Quarry members have been doing this separate for a very long time, we started this together because each one of us is an asset to the Company and to our clients. Years of experience gathered by us is now combined.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Our style is very divers because we grew up with Hip-Hop, saw the scene evolve and we fuse a lot of styles.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: There are many Artists that we would like to work with because we listen to all kinds of styles. We love to work with every passionate Artists we can help, we love to experiment with different genre's.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: Live My Dreams is our first Single with music-video as a team for Dynamite released by South-Side Quarry. Immediately after its release it got attention of the Hairouna film festival and is now nominated for best music video for the entire region.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: First of all we Listen to what the client goal is or wants to achieve by hiring us. We know communication is key to perfection when working from a distance. This is why we try to get to know the person behind the project by having a chat or call. This gives us more insight in what the clients wants.

A: Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, ODB, Nas, Big L, Santana, Big Daddy Kane, Dr Dre, Kodak Black, Sizzla, Young Thug, Future,.....
