My musical skillset is informed by a genuine passion for music, a complex understanding of music theory, and working in multiple capacities.
- As a bassist, I have played with and recorded on multiple professional projects, including Bailey Tomkinson and the Locals. My bass-playing is versatile, cross-genre, and informed by a passion for the rudiments of music. I pride myself in my ability to lock into a groove. My current projects range from folk (Callum Kenworthy) to jazz-fusion (Reviresco).
- I am a delicate and accurate acoustic guitar player. I often play solo cover sets, creating novel fingerstyle playing approaches, which also cross over into my own writing. My acoustic inspirations are Nick Drake, Ben Howard, Joni Mitchell, and Lianne la Havas.
- My voice is adaptable and distinctive. As the frontman of covers band The Zealots, I have developed my presence, power, and also my mimicry. My range is E2-E4, with another octave in belt/falsetto. As well as lead vocals, I am also an effective backing vocalist with a knack for harmonies.
- I am a sensitive and adventurous songwriter, lyricist and composer. My practice is focussed on a holistic approach that synchronously creates prozedy. I've done some ad-hoc co-writes, and am keen to bring my experience with the latter and my own songs to more collaborative music creation. I can arrange for a variety of instruments
