I'm a professional audio engineer working in studios and live sound since 2013. Before COVID-19, I regularly mixed FOH and Monitors at venues and festivals all over Florida, and I was also the live audio engineer for the military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
I am highly skilled in Avid Pro Tools, and I've worked with current and former members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Puddle of Mudd, Jason Aldean, Gov't Mule, and more. I love all music genres and look forward to helping you have the best-sounding audio possible!
Great music starts with great recordings! Let me take your exceptional audio tracks to the next level with a professional edit, mix, and master to give them the perfect tonal balance so that they shine!
Using years of experience and critical listening skills, I will clean up unwanted sounds in your tracks before starting the mixing process. I will then take great care to mix and polish your song, preparing it for the mastering phase. I will carefully consider your track's nuances in the mastering phase, skillfully shaping the sound into its final form.
Making music is your passion, and mixing & mastering is mine!
Remember, the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is a little extra!

Interview with Jacob K. Peterson
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog and Digital together. Nothing sounds better than analog circuitry, but nothing is more convenient than today's modern mixing tools. Items like motorized faders and the ability to edit tracks visually in DAWs make digital a powerful tool, but it also has drawbacks; digital can sound very sterile. We have become accustomed as a music culture to the unintentional and unavoidable tonality of analog circuits. Working with digital and analog in harmony is the ideal way; the great tones and sound from the analog and the easy editing and manipulation that comes from the digital domain.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to be surrounded by awesome people and amazing music every day! Music is my life!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like to balance professional expectations and artistic vision to make a tonally balanced masterpiece.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make sure your equipment is properly functioning and calibrated.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Troubleshooting. I always do my best to keep a calm and level head to find the problem and fix it as quickly as possible.
