Welcome to ALC Sound Design Studio. We are a team of sound designers, musicians, experts, who collaborate in the field of music production with the aim of producing emerging and professional artists and providing absolutely professional services in the music world.
ALC was founded in 2019 by Alessandro La Cava in the beautiful city of Milan. Credits include releases on Ninety9Lives Records, Garden Blaze. Through the years, we gained extensive experience in multiple genres. We get platinum/golden awards with artist such as Baustelle, Brunori SAS, Jerome, Fluxus and Renzo Rubino. Moreover, we specialize in musical composition, audio engineering, Mix/Mastering and Sound Design services.
Music is our passion and the thing that unites us all, so we hope to take part of your musical production journey.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The production of Jerome's album, Round. For the quality and yield of the produced sounds of which we are the producers.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: We are working on a new album that will be released soon in all digital stores

A: No, sorry.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, as there are many more creative possibilities.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We promise that our customers will have a high quality product in line with the standards of the music market and that will reflect their demands and needs.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Music is our greatest passion, we are happy to be able to work in this sector by collaborating with great artists.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Is it possible to clean the voice recording by removing the present background noise? Sure! It is one of our main tasks.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Thanks to clarity, one of the main values of the agency, we have never had any misconception .
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your primary need? His brief and ideas and possibly some references.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Clarity on the objective and on the project, mutual respect between people and ideas and adequate remuneration for the work done.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A Mac, audio interface, monitors, microphone, desktop monitor.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: We've started our career working in several recording studios for over 10 years and also worked for big companies creating sound logos, soundtracks for presentation or videoclips. We’ve got platinum/golden awards with artists that we produced or we've worked with.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Forward, edgy, innovative, Electronic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Imogen Heap. I really like her voice and would love to do a production with her.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: To make a vocal more intelligible, apply a compressor in send that adjusts its dynamics and then an equalizer with a small boost on the medium-high frequencies that will allow the voice to be more present in the mix
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: EDM, House music, Cinematic, Soundtracks and Jingles.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Surely Ableton live's mastery. We are professionals with in-depth knowledge of the program, this allows us to create high quality content with a strong sonic identity.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Our added value is mainly the choice of sounds and sound design, our goal is to create greater synergy between sounds. The result is a pleasantly dynamic and colorful mix, always respecting the standards of the music industry.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First we ask our customers for a brief and a reference, then the sound design, the structure and the drafting of the song, the colors, the environments and finally the mixing and mastering phase.

A: We have a studio entirely designed for digital production, with particular attention to the ITB mixing and mastering phase.
