Alex Chapman has been a musician for over twenty years — working in the studio for over half of that time.
As a classically trained musician with a degree in Audio Engineering, Alex has had the opportunity to play nearly every genre from symphonic to rock. As an active musician in the Portland, OR area, Alex plays both live and studio gigs all around the Northwest. Alex has worked with artists from nearly every genre. From jazz and spoken word to metal, Alex is passionate about helping artists achieve what they envision. Alex also studied Bass in college and holds a separate degree in Music Therapy. Alex can access a deep knowledge of music theory to help make your songs more interesting or keep them simple and sweet. Working on both ends of the microphone gives Alex a special ability to provide quality mix feed back before mastering as well as craft bass and guitar parts with the finished product in mind.
