Danny Aro on SoundBetter

Experienced song writer with an artist catalog of over 150+ songs. I'll write songs or sing layers/harmonies for anyone in need of lyrical guidance or melodic guidance. I can give customers a solid product usually in under three days. Let's collaborate and create some timeless tracks.

I can write basically anything. I can write songs like Post Malone, Juice WRLD, Young Thug, Future, Lil baby, Tame Impala, or any other artist type needed. I've worked with engineers such as Ty Dolla $ign's engineer, and my main engineer, Dan Eisenbach, has worked with Lil Baby and Blackbear on some of their recent tracks, such as "Forever (feat. Lil Wayne)" on My Turn. I've been acclaimed by the top radio host in Australia, had articles on sites such as A&R Factory, Exclusive Audio, and more. Join me and let's make some catchy, vibey tracks.

Interview with Danny Aro

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I was especially proud of my first somewhat-hit "Diamonds" that I released on January 29, 2021. That was the first songwriting high I've ever had. I loved writing and making the song, and it gained a lot of exposure and now has around 160k streams on Spotify, and around 250k on all streaming platforms. I was hoping the song would get remixed and it did by two wonderful artists named B00sted and N.I.K. N.I.K. was the producer for the project and B00sted featured as a songwriter & singer. The remix is at around 105k streams currently on Spotify and was featured on Shadow Music where it's sitting at around 300k on YouTube. I'm happy to have hit those goals so quickly on a song I had so much fun making!

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: I recommend Dan Eisenbach. He's my engineer and one of the best engineers I've ever seen. He can make anyone sound like gold. He mixes and masters songs and does it pretty quickly, so if you ever need a song I wrote for you mixed and mastered hit Dan up!

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I'll give you what you want.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I love seeing artists' dreams come to life. I love writing music--especially when it's a collaborative process.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: 1.) Two artists that inspire you or you want this song to emulate 2.) an album this song could be on 3.) a general idea for what the client wants

  11. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  12. A: I would say know what you're looking for. If someone gives me a couple artists that they want the song to sound like, a general idea for what they want, and maybe an album that really fits it, I can often nail what they want in one try. It's all about the details. That's what helps build the story.

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: Honestly, no idea. I'm just going with it gvng.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: I'd love to work with Drake and Post Malone & Justin Bieber on the same song. Drake would bring a ton of character to one of my songs. Post Malone and Justin Bieber have similar voices to mine so we could rip a similar beat.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: Hip-hop most of the time. However, I've worked on punk-rock MGK type stuff, edm, disco-rap music. I can really do anything!

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: Definitely freestyling and songwriting. I've been freestyling and writing since I was about 11-years-old so it's like a second language for me.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: I definitely bring emotion and passion. I put a lot of feeling into the songs I write and I try to make the lyrics all blend together into a story. I definitely bring catchiness as well. I try to make the chorus' and verses' sound as catchy as possible because I know people have low attention spans for music nowadays, especially for new artists.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: If it's writing a song, I usually write the song and send a rough draft to the client with a voice memo for melody. Often after 1-2 revisions the client is happy and they complete the projeft. If I'm featuring as a singer & writer, I take about 2-3 days--sometimes a week if the song is difficult--working with the producer to find the appropriate writing sound for their vision and mine. Then, I whip to the studio and work with Dan and get a product out with wet and sometimes dry stems in about 4-8 hours depending on the project.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: I work in a professional studio with a soundboard worth about $100k. When I'm a singer on projects, I work with my engineer Dan Eisenbach who has also worked on artists such as Lil Baby, Blackbear, and Dustystaytrue.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Genesis, Linkin Park, Kanye West, SAINt JHN, Post Malone, Juice Wrld... etc.

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: I usually write songs that fit their vocal structure and fit their vision as an artist. Sometimes, If I really like the project, I'll feature on a beat a producer has sent to me which I've done two times. I'll be the singer and writer in those cases. However, most of the time I'm a writer. I love helping find their sound and vision especially since it's something I struggled with as a young artist.
