Billboard/Mediabase #1 Artist/Songwriter signed to Curb/Word Entertainment. Multiple international #1 songs at pop & CCM radio. 160m+ streams. CMT, NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International), ASCAP & Billboard songwriting award winner. Hundreds of sync/song placements including major primetime commercials, ads, & television shows.
I'm a professional artist/songwriter out of Nashville, TN. I've toured the world, written, and played with many of the biggest artists in pop and Christian music in the last 15 years, including: Justin Bieber, John Mayer, The GooGoo Dolls, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jason DeRulo, The Fray, Natasha Bedingfield, The Roots, Lauren Daigle, For King & Country, Bethel Music, Mav City and countless more. My songs have won multiple awards, been placed hundreds of times, and charted at the top of US and international radio charts.
I write and record songs almost every day and as we have seen our ability to travel and play music vanish the past year, I thought I would take the opportunity to help you write and demo your songs here on sound better.
I would love to hear your ideas and see if I'm the right fit to help you craft them into reality. My process is simple, once I have your track, please provide me with any notes and references you have. The more communication, the better!

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My 67 J-45, U87, Apollo, computer, and my juno-106 (with midi)
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My last record, BETTER, was really personal. All of the songs really meant something to me and I'm proud of what we put out into the world.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Always writing for myself and other artists. Recording a new full length record for myself now.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes! Jeff Sojka & Denny White are both amazing.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will give your music the same attention that I would give my own projects.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The time I get with my kids. The energy of an audience. The excitement of creating things that never existed before.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much? My answer is I'm always open to negotiating depending on your circumstances and my schedule. Don't be afraid to ask!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That musicians are all either struggling or insanely rich... lots of us just make a living. That's what I believe "making it" really means. We come to work and make our living every day.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What specifically are you looking for in your song? What references do you have? How can I best serve you?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Over communicate! I want to help make what's in your head a reality and the more info I have, the better I can do that! and... be nice, always, to everyone... that works for your whole life.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Music all the way. I've been traveling, playing, and writing music for 26 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soulful pop in music. I'm a laid back enneagram 3 in my life, haha (if that exists)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Jon Bellion. He's just the best at what he does and I would love to learn from him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have an affinity for pop music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Melody, Singing, and lyrics
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Experience and a proven track record of great melody and lyric writing as well as a world class vocal capability.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It depends on the project and what it calls for specifically. I like to spend time learning and experimenting with the music until it all clicks together. Many times, I'll start work and take a short break and come back to it with fresh ears to make sure it's great. I love being extremely efficient, organized, and fast paced though. I take my time, but I don't like to waste my time.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a full pro studio in my home. It's been a life-saver the past year! Tons of space and top of the line gear to do full records.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: All types! I love great creative expression in all forms
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Songwriting and demo vocal performance. I also do some full production when my schedule allows
