I will turn your ideas and needs into sound that will get you closer to who and where you want to be.
My name is Mauricio, I'm a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter Brazilian guy currently based in Finland. My main specialty is the electric guitar, which I have been playing for 18 years. I've been working for content creators making full rock/punk/metal instrumentals, for artists doing guitar sessions, writing lyrics, recording vocals and also working as an artist myself. I have 2 one-man band projects which I've been slowly building a fan base by constantly releasing new music.
If you need some killer guitars on your rock track, perhaps some passionate and raspy vocals to your lyrics... lyrics to your vocals (or both), programmed drums (partially programmed actually, cause I do play my Roland HD1 E-kit as a MIDI controller for Perfect Drums /EZ Drummer 2), or even a full instrumental track that's also mixed and mastered, and your game is rock, punk, or metal, I guarantee a soulful product for you.

The very best on SoundBetter. If you're looking for a well-rounded and talented multi-instrumentalist, music engineer, and producer or even if you're just looking for one of those things, Mauricio should be your first choice.

Another delivery by Mauricio, another epic work has he done for me. This time I ordered guitar solo, and that man just nailed it on the first try. This is a skilled guitar player who is perfect match for all my songs I have been working on, even though I have many genres in my library. If you order from him one time, you'll never choose another guitarist. He is your "go to" guy! Recommended 10/10!

Bro is amazing a genius!! All his work is very professional!
Aside from being a talented musician, Mauricio is amazingly friendly and easy to work with. He did everything he could to achieve what I asked for, even going the extra mile to send me additional stuff after the fact. I cannot recommend him more.
Another rewarding collaboration with Mauricio with a great result which I'm very satisfied with. He's always patient and accommodating and lifts my songs to a higher level. Will work with him again soon.
I was in dire need of a guitarist after spending weeks looking for someone. I finally reached out to Mauricio and I've been kicking my backside about not going to him earlier since. He was professional and easy to talk to. I have other projects in the works right now and I know I'll be asking him to help again.
Mauricio is a talented powerhouse. I've worked with him to create new music and he always knows exactly how to navigate my ideas and thoughts and put things right onto the track. He's incredibly flexible as showcased in the various genres that we've done so far, and is also great at communicating, to keep things rolling. I'm always excited to put a new track together with him.
Mauricio is my number one. His skills on the guitar is outstanding, and have been my "go to" guy every time I need any kind of guitar play on my songs. He even is close to something like mindreader, at least for me. I often struggle to describe what I need, but yet he nails it. He is professional, extremely skilled, and a really nice guy!
Interview with Mauricio Mirapalheta
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm pretty proud of the fact that in two and a half years I wrote, recorded, mixed/mastered and released 3 albums, 1 EP and at least 12 singles for my personal projects with a growing audience. When it comes to projects for clients, recently I delivered a 10-track instrumental album in 10 days and the client absolutely loved it. I do think that was killer as well.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: If I would have to choose one, it would have to be Dave Grohl. He’s multi-talented, super versatile, seems to be such a well centered guy. He is just music itself.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The clearer your vision is of how the final product should sound, the easier the process is.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on alternative/hard rock, punk rock, and metal.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: If I have to choose one, I will say creating killer guitar riffs.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common has been full instrumentals as well as guitar sessions.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like the most is the fact that I get to spend time doing EXACTLY what I feel that I came to this planet to do, which is touching peoples’ lives through sound/music and helping them go further in life with their evolving process through mine.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: When they want me to create instrumental tracks for them, they ask me if they're going to be able to use it commercially and answer is ‘Yes’. When they're hiring me for vocals, they ask me what mic I use and that's a TBone SC450 USB. They also ask me about my audio interface which is a PreSonus Audiobox 96 Usb
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is that they will have quality work with a very original touch.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style has the young energy of the skateboarding and surfing lifestyle, if that makes any sense to you. Young energy influenced by street culture.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a metalcore instrumental track for a client. I'm also working on Bodybag Garibaldi's first debut album (my "deathgrind" project). Even though I've never released an album with that project before, it has 1 EP released with 4 tracks, and 4 singles with over 700 listeners on Spotify.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm just starting on the platform now, so far, I don't know anyone.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I find a way to feel the emotion of the sound/vibe that is requested from me and let it be manifested through my technical skills.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I don't have experience with analog, except when I was the artist being produced in the studio. So, I don't have a lot to say about it
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask them for references and communicate in a way that I understand exactly what they're trying to go for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Electric guitar, audio interface, bass guitar, condenser mic and a good laptop.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Thinking that the work is 100% technical, when in reality it is 50% technical and 50% soulful.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: After reading my answers here, taking a look at my profile in general, communicating with me and deciding to close a deal, my advice for them is to trust that I will AT LEAST deliver exactly what they expect me to, if not more.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My soul, my perception of reality and art, combined with what I perceive to be the client's perception of reality and needs.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing the guitar in 2002, bass and drums around 2006, and I started seeing myself as a singer in 2009. In 2018 I started the process of learning the whole recording/mixing/mastering process and after practicing for about 2 years, in October of 2020, I started providing services for clients on a different platform as a rock instrumental maker, doing guitar sessions and writing lyrics/recording vocals. Since then I've been getting plenty of sales and nothing but straight up 5 stars.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use this LTD Ax 400 guitar for the heavier stuff, and a Squire Classic Vibe 70's Strat for the lighter single coil needs. My Roland e-drum kit is an HD1 that I use as a midi controller for EZ Drummer 2. Mic is a TBone SC450 USB, my bass is a Ibanez TMB 100 BK. My audio interface is a Presonus Audiobox USB 96 and my DAW (Digital audio workstation) is Ableton Live.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Dave Grohl, Fat Mike, James Hetfield, Phil Anselmo... to name a few. People who tend to transcend a style, a genre or even a specific role.
I was the whole band, singer and mixing and mastering engineer in this production
