As a Cellist/Guitarist on London's West End and touring Multi-Instrumentalist for Atlantic/Warner artist Jasmine Thompson, with a Master's Degree in Music Production and Engineering, Roland is able to offer high quality remote session work (Cello and Guitars) and mixing from his home studio.
With extensive experience over a range of musical styles (from metal to classical to musical theatre), Roland is a flexible musician and mix engineer uniquely placed to bring out the best in almost any genre.
If your track is in need of a solo cello line, a full string arrangement, some acoustic guitar comping or even a searing electric guitar solo, Roland can do it all!
Or, if you simply need some finishing touches to your track, Roland's training and experience means he's got you covered there too!
Prices do vary depending on number of tracks, overdubs, length of track etc, so please do get in touch for further info.

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Once I have spoken to the client to find out exactly what they want, I spend a good amount of time listening to the track as I receive it. Being familiar with the music you are playing or mixing is so important - without this simple step you can find yourself adding things that are detrimental to the record. Plus, spending more time listening at the beginning really speeds up the process further down the line.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I base all my work in ProTools for the most part, but happy to use Logic or UA Luna if required. Everything recorded through a UAD Apollo x4 using their lovely unison preamp emulations. I also have a pile of guitar pedals, useful not only for guitar, but also for reamping drums, vocals, synths or even strings!
