Hey! I'm a producer, mix engineer, writer & session guitartist with many years of music making behind me. If you've got a track that needs some mood, energy, or groove, I can breath new life into your song with a professional, polished approach that will help take your music to the next level. I specialise in rock, blues, fun, and pop.
I have a passion for creating rich and creative guitar parts that embrace the vision and support the song. That can be some simple backing/comping, a multi-layered wall of sound, or a solo in the style of your favorite guitartist.
With 25+ years playing electric guitar, I've got ample experience in many contemporary styles, including rock, blues, pop, funk, and soul.
I'm also Berklee educated in Music Production and Arranging, as well as being a Rockschool registered teacher for guitar, bass, music production and theory.
Can read music/charts or craft an original track from scratch.

Interview with Steve Lee
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be clear. Be honest.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Odd. Interesting. Creative. Fun. I like to watch movies and go out most weekends with my guitar.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: At 15 I was a runner-up in the UK's Young Guitarist of the Year award, and recorded my first studio album at age 19. I was brought up with music and I've been taking it pretty seriously for more than 30 years.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do a lot of music production and writing work, which often involves live recording of guitar and bass performances, as well as drum programming, keyboards, and anything else that pulls it all together. I also mix and produce a lot of music that I am involved with as well as for other artists.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My roots are definitely in rock and blues music, but I love to experiment with all kinds of music and now days write and work in different styles. So anything from classical, jazz and orchestral to latin and pop.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'm brand-new here on SoundBetter and I'm looking forward to working on projects here with new clients. I know how important it will be to gain some reputation points and some local experience. So with that in mind, I can only promise that I will do my best on each and every project. I will be open and communicative, reliable, and will deliver on-time to the best of my abilities!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I see myself as being a pretty creative person and I hate to copy others, so when I'm working on a song I like to work up my own ideas about what it should sound like and where it's going, and then just try to create something that works for that particular song, as each is unique.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It depends on the job, but it all starts with listening, and getting enough information to be able to deliver the best service that I can.
