Piano was Antoine's first link to music, which he began to practice at the age of 5. He became a gold medalist in music theory at the conservatory 10 years later, after having followed a classical training. The following year, he discovered electronic music and bought Pro Tools to start producing.
Antoine played with the well established Dj collective "La Roserie" in the North of France with whom he played for 5 years, performing in places like Le Mazette in Paris or in bigger events like the Touquet Music Beach Festival alongside big names like Paul Kalkbrenner, Purple Disco Machine or Bob Sinclar.
He released his first EP "001" in early 2023, which highlights a beautiful, emotional and powerful progressive music, mixing driving basslines and worked harmonies to give birth to a unique electronic symphony.

Interview with Antoine SERGHERAERT
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I work on electronic music and sync projects. Too, I regularly help friends who produce in their mixing/mastering way.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: In-the-box so digital for now but tend to evolve to analog in the future.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: A musicality you won't find anywhere else
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Have ideas, collaborate, have pleasure to make music
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: If you're not familiar with today's music composition environment, you might think that composing music is child's play and can be done simply and quickly. But this is not always the case, as it requires technical skills and years of learning before mastering the processes.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I try to gather as much information as possible about what the customer wants his final product to look like, which will help me to perceive. Communication and confidence are keys for the process.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have a well-defined vision of your end product. For the rest, i'm here to help him.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook Pro, headphones, cell phone, midi keyboard and and SSD
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have a gold medal in music theory and have played piano and French horn for over 10 years. I've been composing music and DJing for over 12 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style of music tends to be deep, progressive and groovy. Into it, i try to infuse an orchestral timbre to make it epic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: If we look at the top of producers : - Hans Zimmer for the way he tells a story - Fred Again for his spontaneity - Kanye West or Daft Punk for their sampling skills, - Nile Rodgers or Kaytranada for its ability to create unique grooves, - Lenny Kravitz or The Weeknd for their lovely voice And others like Ben Bohmer for create unique melodies, Paul Kalkbrenner for a song which kick your head...
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Classical but effective : less is more. When you look at the top quality records, you could be surprised how they sound so simple and yet this is what works best from my point of view (although i also love creating complex arrangements as well).
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mainly on electronic music arrangements but i also create piano and orchestral compositions.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My top 1 strength is the creative part thanks to my classical training in piano, french horns and my 12 years in DAW work.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try to bring as most as possible emotions into it, in order to appeal the listener and make the difference with it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I put all the creative ideas in the session part of live 11. I use them to put them together like a jigsaw puzzle in the arrangement section of the software. Once the arrangement is done, i can move on to mixdown first and finally the mastering.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work with a Macbook Pro on Ableton Live 11. I own a RME Babyface Pro FS for interface, a Korg Minilogue XD, a Roland Juno DS-61 as workstation and soundbank, a Roland TR8S and a pair of Focal Alpha 50. My homestudio is acoustically treated.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: They inspire me a lot by their creativity, their structure arrangement and by their sound design of course. I try to be inspired by the best like Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Fred Again to name a few.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I love help my clients to develop their own potential in their musical projects. My top strength is to help about melodies/harmonies thanks to my experience and classical training. Moreover, I'm able to deliver some help in further my clients in their mix/master projects to help them sound competitive.
