I will transform your raw tracks into polished, bright, punchy mixes perfect for Rock, Metal & Rap. Let’s work together and make your song the best it can be!
My goal is to give you the best sounding mix possible. Your mix is not complete until you are 100% satisfied.
I have been mixing and mastering for over 3 years. I specialize in Metal, Hip-Hop and Rock but love to mix and master all styles of music.
For mixing, I use custom in ear monitors which have a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20kHz. This allows me to hear every aspect of your mix in finite detail and complete isolation.
All I need to complete your project is your raw tracks to mix, notes and details about the song, the vibe of the project, and a rough mix. Feel free to send reference mixes/ songs from other artists that represent what you're looking to achieve.

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my mixing style as modern and aggressive. I love the intense, forward sound of modern metal and feel it complements the naturally rebellious sound of hiphop.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One of my favorite tips for getting vocals to sit well is parallel distortion. I often use Saturn 2 in parallel with the drive at 50% (warm tape setting) and the EQ boosting the mids and highs. Blending this with the vocals creates a high sheen that EQ does not achieve.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Upon receiving files I will first review the provided material. I will make any edits as required and prep the audio to suit my workflow. If any serious issues arise I will contact the artist and work through solutions to ensure the best possible product. Once my prep work is complete I will import the audio into my DAW and calibrate my mix session. I will listen to the reference mix and label song sections and make notes of any special moments or ideas I have. I work efficiently to get a first draft to the artist for their input. Your opinion is the most important and I want your feedback as soon as possible. I will tweak the mix with the artist until we are both satisfied with the final product.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a humble home studio geared towards late night work with minimal family disruption :)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am constantly discovering new engineers and absorbing there philosophies and approaches to mixing. Mixing is an art form like any other, and to grow you must constantly learn.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I feel most artist do not understand the difference between mixing and editing. Mixing is the art of gluing and molding the source audio into a unified sonic landscape. Editing is the technical art of correcting issues in the source audio such as timing/ tuning. These are separate, and important steps in achieving the end product.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you turn the vocals up a little bit? Yes :)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: 1. Are you happy with the current state of the song, recordings? 2. What is the vibe you are going for. Do you have examples of the sonic picture you want to achieve? 3. What is your goal for the song/ project?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communication is key. The more info you can provide the better! Make sure you check out the reference material and ask if you like what your hearing. Do you like the overall sound of the mixes? Does the mix of each song complement the vibe and message of the artist?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would be happy noodling away on my Dingwall bass under a coconut tree :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work on modern Hiphop and Rap music. I am a die hard metal fan and any opportunity I get to bring the heavy is a joy!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I provide mixing and mastering for the majority of my clients.
