Interview with Bence Bécsy

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Yes, less is more!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Inde pop, Pop, Experimental Music, Trap, Hip-hoph
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually, I get a mix of somebody's track with some instructions, and I try to do that I am payed for. Solos, background guitar tracks, adding ideas.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have JBL 308 monitors, with Focusrite Saffire Pro 14, Godin Session Guitar, Custom made Telecaster /w bareknuckle pickups, Kemper amp and so many high-quality analog pedals and digital multieffects, Tons of VSTs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depending on the work. I really like to zoom in and having time with a project I am working on.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Depending on the goal. Digital is the best choice for flexibilty and quick work, but yes, the analog devices are not substitutable. If we talking about effects, like delays, flangers, the digital world can hit the analog stuffs. But if we talking about amps, old vintage synths, real instruments, etc, the digital world is just on the corner, but not there where the analog style stuffs is. We have to wait a little more, or who knows how much time. Digital controlling on analog devices if I have to give an exact answer.

Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Good question, I love deep things. Either it comes to positive or negative vibe, every song has deepness. It can be low or high. Haha
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I can work for hours on the tiniest things.
